A gorgeous day preparing to teach in North Carolina

What a wonderful day here in Winston-Salem, North Carolina!

Tomorrow I'm teaching at the Forsyth Dental Study Club, part of the Seattle Study Club network, and I've spent much of today sitting outside in the glorious sunshine in the beautiful grounds of Graylyn Estate, where I'll be presenting tomorrow.

I've been going through my lecture, putting the finishing touches to everything, thinking about the clinical cases I want to share and, most importantly, how to explain why I do things the way I do.

And I've absolutely loved it!

It's been one of those days when preparing for work doesn't really feel like work at all.

I started with a session in the gym, then enjoyed a lovely walk to Dough-Joe's for a doughnut and coffee, followed by a wander around the gorgeous Reynolda Estate. What a beautiful part of the world!

Then back to Graylyn, sitting outside in the sunshine, working through tomorrow's presentation and getting increasingly excited about it all.

Tomorrow we'll be exploring complete dentures, removable partial dentures and implant overdentures, sharing practical clinical techniques, ideas and experiences.

My hope is that everyone leaves feeling inspired, with a few new ideas they can take straight back into their practices on Monday morning.

I want to light a few fires for removable prosthodontics!

I genuinely love this subject, and having the opportunity to travel, meet like-minded colleagues and share the things I've learnt over the years is something I never take for granted.

Feeling very fortunate indeed.

Can't wait for tomorrow!
