Lectures and live demonstration on a patient by Finlay Sutton

Immediate denture brochure and booking form

Immediate dentures are often the most difficult and least well tolerated dentures that we give our patients. I want to share with you the techniques and methods Rowan Garstang (my dental technician) and I use to achieve predictable results with immediate dentures. I will show how I make superb impressions – even with mobile teeth in the way. The process from diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment provision will be shown in detail. This will be full of tips, techniques and practical advice which can be implemented straight away into practice.

This day is aimed at dentists, clinical dental technicians and dental technicians with a live patient demonstration and lectures abundantly illustrated with step by step photographs and videos of all procedures.

I am the Keynote lecturer at the World Dental Congress - Special Edition - 26-29 September 2021

I am giving three lectures for the World Dental Conference on the topic of "Healing the human spirit with removable dentures (that work and look like their own departed teeth)"

VIDEO - Finlay's fixed and removable prosthodontic case presentation of crowns and metal partial dentures

Finlay presents treatment of a patient with high aesthetic demands using immediate partial dentures, followed by metal based partial dentures supported with crowns. This is practical and clinically useful; abundantly illustrated with photographs and videos showing how Finlay and his dental technician, Rowan Garstang, produce removable dental prostheses. The lecture aims to show how we can change our patients’ lives with beautifully made dentures.

Learning objectives:

1. To learn how to make accurate impressions

2. To learn how to make partial dentures fit perfectly

3. To learn how to incorporate crowns into a partial denture

4. To learn a new system of partial denture design, including planning for future support teeth failure by designing the cobalt chromium minor connectors with tooth additions in mind.

5. To see the management of challenging cases where implants are not wanted/indicated

6. To appreciate that good quality removable dentures are a valid alternative to implant supported restorations
